Martina is reading for a Bachelor of Science in Biology on the neurobiology track at Brown University. Her interest in this project comes from the clinical side rather than the computational one: after three years of hospital volunteering across neurology, oncology, surgery and neonatology wards, she is interested in how behaviour is observed, recorded, and turned into something a researcher can actually reason about.
SqueakLab is her attempt to take one small, well-defined piece of that problem — scoring social behaviour in laboratory mice from video — and work it through honestly, including the parts that do not work yet.
